Our flight out of Newark left sometime around 9 o'clock last night, with a brief stopover in Iceland.
We had enough time in Keflavik to get a light breakfast (at what felt like... 2 or 3 AM?), traverse passport control, browse the shops, and wander around the airport. And try to nap, of course (maybe just me).
The 6-hour time change, plus the two flights and the layover, got us to Oslo at about 3 PM local time.
By the time we deplaned, got our bags, sorted the public transit situation, took the train downtown, transferred to a tram, walked a few blocks, and found the Airbnb, it was 5 PM. We're staying on the edge of the Grünerløkka neighborhood, conveniently near several tram stops.
By this time, we were all approaching 30 hours awake, give or take a few mediocre plane naps.
After settling in, sort-of unpacking, and enjoying some silence, we ventured out to find real food.
We explored Mathallen (indoor market), and then grabbed some combinations of chicken/ribs/waffles at Lucky Bird, mostly because it was there and we were hungry.
On the way back from dinner, we stopped at a small grocery store to acquire a few essentials. Picture is unrelated.
Everyone is going to bed early.
Tomorrow we have a full day of touring around Oslo.
