St. Thomas 2019 - Day 6

Friday morning, we cobbled together breakfast out of the remaining fruit and the meager leftovers that had accumulated in the fridge.

We used our last few hours to enjoy the view before loading up the car.

Returning the rental car and getting back to the airport was uneventful. The food options in the St. Thomas airport were rather sad; much of the space was under renovation, presumably still damaged from the hurricanes, but we managed to eat at the cafe stand while waiting for our flight.

The "catch" with our reasonably priced flight was that we had to transfer airports in Washington D.C., which meant we flew into Dulles but flew out of Reagan.

We had 3 hours to get through rush-hour D.C. traffic on a Friday, go through security again, and get dinner. Uber seemed like the most prudent choice. It took over an hour.

Reagan airport, thankfully, was a veritable ghost town, and our flight was slightly delayed, so we had ample time.

Due to a variety of potential reasons (government shutdown, people opting for the earlier flight to the same destination, bad traffic, and/or the absurdity of the airport transfer), there were only 4 passengers on our flight to Newark. We all got upgraded.
